Title Concorde SST
Description God I miss the plane! Only been able to see it 3 times in my life: Once was at EAA AirVenture quite a few years back, I saw the Concorde take off with flames trailing from it only minutes before crashing in 2000, and then after they were retired (these pictures). These were taken three years ago I believe at Technik Museum in Sinnsheim, Germany. The plane was still being put back together after the transport and was not open to the public. The following year, however, I was able to go inside this beauty, but forgot my camera...you can only imagine how ****ed I was!

Concorde SST

I know what you mean. I used to see these magnificent aircraft fly overhead every day when I was a kid, my school was about 30 miles from Heathrow, under one of the main outbound flight paths. It's still hard to believe they were designed in the late 60's and early 70's. A classic case of being too far ahead of their times. If they had come along a little later, and had the benefit of the much advanced engine technology, they wouldn't have had the noise issues that essentially killed the more profitable US routes, and hence relegated them to a rich mans London / Paris / New York toy.
