Problem with Uploading

My forum is Powered by PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.7

But when it comes to Uploading a gif pic in a group catagory it show this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagetypes() in /home/indiatvf/public_html/photoplog/functions.php on line 36

And if i add it in root it shows

Sorry, Admin: No Category

Note: Admin is the userid by which i have logged in.

What is the reason i m not able to upload anything?

For no category: try adding a category via the PhotoPlog ACP side menu.

but i´m really sure that if have created these correctly via the acp side menu.

what can be the reason?
