Check this (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99) thread, starting at post seven, and try doing this (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showpost.php?p=555&postcount=10) to diagnose why thumbs are not being created.

What do you have entered for the following PhotoPlog settings:
Content visible to registered users only.

The S,M,L sizes are to be only numbers separated with a comma:
Content visible to registered users only.
The Default Thumb Size is to be one of the following:
Content visible to registered users only.

Your Large Thumb Size has three numbers. It should be just two numbers: width,height where comma is a separator.
