View Full Version : Can't post comments...
I get this error when I try to post a comment ...
Content visible to registered users only.
Can anyone help me out here? Did this happen tosomeone else too and if so how did you fix it?
Ok I found out what is my problem but how can I fix it.
In the photoplog_comment_form template the textarea doesn't show up $messagearea
Any idea where to fix that?

Do you mean that you don't see a text area in which to type a comment?

Do you have any plugins using one of the following hooks?
Content visible to registered users only.
If so, go to vB ACP -> Plugin System -> Plugin Manager -> temporarily uncheck the Active box next to the plugins -> click Save Active Status button -> refresh PhotoPlog comment page and see if you can comment.
These were used by other plugin
editor_wysiwyg_compatible
editor_toolbar_start
So for now it's disabled ... and shows up good. Thank you.
My question is, what if in the future i install something else that will use those phrases, is it going to block it again? Is there a possibility to add a simple Text box?

PhotoPlog Lite doesn't have any plugins using those hook locations, but it's hard to say what code could interfere with other code. Untested, but if you'd like a plain text box, try replacing $messagearea in the template with TEXTAREA tags, where the name is set to message.
Thank you that works great :) You did a great job with this program .... can't wait for the Pro to come out!

I'm getting the same error message, but ONLY when we use the Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor.
We see the text box and get the error message on submission.
Any ideas?
Using PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.5 with VB 3.6.4 and VBAdvanced CMPS v2.2.1.
Thank you! :)

What happens/what do you find, if you do post nine (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showpost.php?p=369&postcount=9) stuff? Also, if you switch to WYSIWYG mode in here (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions), can you post comments in the online demo?

* If I'm looking in the right place, under
Plugins and Products>>Plugin Manager>> Hook Location
The only reference to the text is post 9 I could find was
Hook Location : editor_toolbar_end
PhotoPlog Smilie Path PhotoPlog [Edit] [Delete ]
* I am able to post comments to photos in wyswyg mode here.

It might be a difference in how PhotoPlog runs with vB 3.6.0 versus vB 3.6.4, but I won't know for sure until I upgrade a board to vB 3.6.4. Once I get upgraded, I'll test it out. Do you have any other modifications installed besides vBa and PhotoPlog?
