Default Powered by Gallery Lite?

Hi Morgan,

I've just installed 2.0.7 on a vb3.7 beta 3 test board and I cannot create a link in the navbar, it redirects to "Gallery" all the time and the "powered by" at the bottom says "Powered by Gallery Lite v.2.0.7" and links to Gallery.com. Is this correct?

The link I paste into the navigation bar is hard coded - http://www.mysite.com/community/photoplog/index.php and every time you hover over it it's changed to http://www.mysite.com/community/Gallery/index.php

Any ideas what's going on?

Regards,
Renada

Well that is strange, but it is not default behavior. Without being able to see it in action though I don't have a clue as to why that is happening on your site. Maybe a replacement variable is set via the ACP Replacement Variable Manager?

Morgan,

Arrgghhhhh!! You ever have one of those "aha" moments? LOL! Ignore me now, you nailed it. It was the replacement variable. Is that new in this version? I've not seen that before.

Anyway, I can stop thinking there was a gremlin on my shoulder retyping my links for me LOL!

Have a lovely Christmas

Regards,
Renada

No, it is not something that was added to the new version. Why would I want to unbrand my own add-on?

Someone added that to unbrand my add-on. Please do not unbrand in that fashion, as it changes the 'powered by' link. Instead, edit the following phrase via the ACP Phrase Manager:
Code:
Content visible to registered users only.
Thanks.

Nooo I didn't mean you added the unbranding, I meant was the "Replacement Variable" box something new in this version? I'm sure it's always been there, I just haven't seen it before. I certainly wouldn't unbrand yours, or anyone else's software after all the hardwork you coders put into creating them and I'm perfectly happy to display your copyright any way you choose to write it.

What I AM a little concerned about is why that variable was there and why I can't find any trace of it in the Phrases/Languages. Where would I look to find out what put it there?

Thanks again for your help

Renada

Nope, PhotoPlog does nothing with replacement variables. Try checking via the vB ACP -> Statistics & Logs -> Control Panel Log to see who accessed the replacement.php file.

Well I checked that and apparently nobody has accessed that file. I only set the forum up a couple of days ago to test what worked on 3.7 and what didn't so it's very strange.

Guess I'll just chalk that one up to gremlins and keep an eye on that slot every time I change anything to see if it comes back.

Thanks again Morgan,

Regards,
Renada
