Default Is Photoplog what I require

I've been looking for a Gallery for my website/forum for a while now and it seems Photoplog could be the answer. We're currently running vB4 CMS

I have a few questions though.

1. Does the look and feel integrate with my current style

2. How are images stored?

3. Any issues with 4.0.3

4. Install/Uninstall simplicity?

We want picture categories (this will be by year) with sub categories for different types giving people the ability to upload but Moderated before they display.

Simple I guess but I need to know it's acheivable

Thanks

Mark

1) It depends on the extend of your customized style. PhotoPlog has its own set of templates and uses various stylevars from vBulletin. There is a vB4 example here where you can change the style with the style chooser box in the lower left of the page. If your style is more than color changes, then you might need to edit some PhotoPlog templates to get the look you want. PhotoPlog is vB4 compatible. Compatibility means that there are tables in the PhotoPlog templates with additional CSS to give the vB4 look and feel.

2) They are stored as files on the server, not in the database.

3) None with vB4 that I'm aware of at this time, but if something comes up, it'll get addressed. There are a few third party add-ons that might affect PhotoPlog, so it depends on the other add-ons you use, but I'm not familiar with all add-ons so cannot give you a definitive list of potentials.

4) Install/uninstall is similar to the lite version you can find on vBorg here though note that the lite version does not work on vB4, but if you check the lite readme file, you can see instructions. The pro version is similar.

You can create categories and sub-categories and moderate uploaded files. There is no ModCP but there is inline moderation for approving/un-approving uploaded files available to those who have canadminforums permission.

Thanks Morgan, I have a tab and inferno shoutbox mod added but the main added style are simply colour changes.

What the main difference of the brand free version?

The brand free version allows you to remove the "Powered by PhotoPlog Pro v.x.y.z" link from the footer of the gallery pages.

Big deal (positively), I like to advertise what I use especially if I've paid for it LOL. I'll get my order in.
