Questions before I renew
Hi Morgan
As you know I have PhotPlog 2.1.4.6 installed on my site but have let my subscription lapse - was due for renewal a couple of months ago. The reason I have is that I have been looking at upgrading my site to vB v3.7 so it was an opportunity to review the gallery software. I have become interested in PhotoPost but prefer to stay with PhotoPlog so I have these questions: 1. What are the differences in v2.1.4.6 to v2.1.4.7 - do I really need to update it yet if v2.1.5 is coming out? 2. I presume it isn't worth paying my subscription yet as it would be better to wait for v2.1.5 and then get a full year with that version? 3. PhotoPost are saying one of their features is Multimedia/Video Support - are you going to have that in the next release? Reason is I would like to have on my site a random image from the gallery and a random movie from somewhere. Thanks for your help Morgan! Oh, and seeing I don't have a subscription any more I can't get in to update my thread on Navigation Cleanup in the Hacks & Modifications section any more - I have an update to what I have done in that. |

1: The v.2.1.4.7 release thread here lists what is new. It is up to you if you want to upgrade. It won't matter if you are running v.2.1.4.6 or v.2.1.4.7 when upgrading to v.2.1.5, once it is released.
2: That again is really up to you. Some people like to keep current with every release. Others prefer to wait until the next major release. 3: Pro v.2.1.5 is going to have support for other media files, but it is requiring a major rewrite, so there is no release date set at this point. 4: Assuming I set the correct permissions, you should now be able to access the "Navigation clean up" thread.

I would still prefer Plog than Post due to the seamless style integration.
