Default [Suggestion] new vBlog integration

The much awaited vBlogWithNoName (http://www.siradrian.com) is approaching beta release. IMHO this will be THE vB blogging product for many years to come.

Anyway, during some discussion about attaching images to blog entries, SirAdrian mentioned they are integrating "the other" popular vB gallery product. I mentioned PhotoPlog integration, and kinda accidently said that you may well be happy to assist if they would like to provide optional PhotoPlog integration. Specifically, for choosing an image from a dropdown menu of a specific users uploads.

You might like to drop by this thread:

Needless to say, if we don't get PhotoPlog integrated before vBlog (or whatever they end up calling it) is released, I'll be dogging you here to help me integrate it, LOL!

Thanks for the information, may be something to look into when the blog script is released.

Yes, I would also certainly need this PhotoPlog integration as this blogging script is so feature-rich and the way to go for vB blogging.

I should be getting the first beta release within the next few days.

I'm hoping to get PhotoPlog integrated before it gets released.

I just got my first Beta (well it's more of an Alpha Beta) of vBlogetin installed.

Morgan - what would you suggest is the best way to test for the presence of PhotoPlog from within another products script(s)?

Are you trying to include thumbnails or something else?

I would suggest a kind of integration with vBulletin and with vBlogetin which will allow people to see in a popup window all the PhotoPlog Categories, Photos etc. and photos with a search box. They search for the photo in that box and select the photo and it gets inserted into the vB post. Such a hack exists for PhotoPost and the Geek Galllery for vB at vB.org. So why not for Photoplog?

PhotoPlog is relatively new at this point, but more good things will come.

As Swami G explained, the blogging product we're testing (www.siradrian.com) already has integration with Photopost (or whatever vbGallery is now called). Nothing complicated, it just gives you a drop down of all the uploads you have made to Photopost, for including as an image in a new blog entry.

I'd like to add PhotoPlog integration, such that it will do the same thing if it detects PhotoPlog as being installed. I'd probably have it use the medium sized Plog thumb for the included image.

Which brings me back to my question ... can you suggest the best way for reliably detecting if PhotoPlog is installed?

I would suggest that the PhotoPlog Integration Mod with vBulletin and vBlogetin be taken up together as there is no mod for even vB integration with PhotoPlog at vb.org as per my knowledge. Thanks.
