Default 2 questions, im about to purchase

hi there,

i have 2 questions for the pro version:

- can i make a categorie wich only a certain usergroup can post in?
- can i define per usergroup wich usergroup can create galleries/categories?

thanks!

ps: is there a way to make better titles and metatags, thats bugging the crap out of me in lite ;p
i need unique titles / photo based on description of the photo etc

Category permissions allows you to set permissions per usergroup per category. There are a couple of ACP screenshots here and here, but there is nothing out of the box to make alternate titles or META tags. The pro version (pro demo) does a better job with titles than the lite version (lite demo), but you might be able to find SEO alternatives at vbseo.com or nuhit.com though you'd need to check.

great thanks, it seems it does what i want.

i have vbseo, but it gives/does nothing for seo on the gallery though it even blocks it from being spidered out of the box (like the calender and some others) but that can be changed

are there templates i can edit for the titles in the pro version? cause i couldnt find that in the lite version

thanks!

Titles are set in the code, so if you want to change them to be something other than 'Site Name - PhotoPlog - Whatever' then you'd need to edit code, though 'PhotoPlog' is a phrase that can be changed via the ACP Phrase Manager without editing code.

Throughout the code is a call to the photoplog_output_page function, where $pagetitle gets set. There is a thread here (accessible after purchase) with a bit more on the topic, but note, you'll need to have some PHP experience to do what you want, as titles are set in the code. As for upgrading, as long as you do not uninstall the lite version, just upgrade to the pro version, you won't lose information. Upgrade instructions are in the main readme file that comes with the package.
